The Spooky World of Halloween Pumpkin Dioramas (Fourth Edition)

One of my more popular Halloween posts revolves around pumpkin dioramas. In fact, every year when Halloween comes around, I usually get high stats with these decorations. These usually consist of a pumpkin with a haunted scene inside. Though the pumpkin in question usually comes from a craft store. Since real pumpkins have a lot of craft inside and usually decay in November. Yet, many of these scenes usually consist of haunted houses and grave yards. However, some can be quite creative, too. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another treasure trove of Halloween pumpkin dioramas.

Please, come into this pumpkin house.

This one includes a doorway, windows, and chimney. And it even lights up as if a witch lives there.

2. Best to keep away from this witch’s cauldron.

Wonder what potions she must be brewing. Though seeing her on her broom, she might be out shopping.

3. Someone’s hand must be rising from the grave.

This one uses the pumpkin parts so they won’t go to waste. Still, looks quite terrifying.

4. Death comes to the old haunted cemetery.

Seems like this one was created with odds and ends. Not sure what to think about the overhead light.

5. Hope these kids have fun trick or treating.

Seems like we got a ghost, scarecrow, and vampire. The jack-o-lanterns also seem quite expressive.

6. Looks like someone’s trapped in the Upside Down.

Indeed, you’d find a few pumpkin dioramas relating to Stranger Things. Not sure when the next season will premiere.

7. Apparently, you’ll find these ghosts behind bars.

Though they can leave at any time since they’re ghosts. Still, they look more cute than scary.

8. Cinderella emerges out of her lavish pumpkin carriage.

This one is decked in jewels with a princess crown on top. And I guess the small pumpkins are supposed to be wheels.

9. It’s a starry night at the cemetery tonight.

Doesn’t seem to be much her other than a skull and a jack-o’-lantern. But I love how it lights up inside.

10. Hope you stay out too late in this graveyard.

Seems like the haunted house is made out of paper. Still, you have to like the skeleton on top wishing a Happy Halloween.

11. Care to hear a song from a skeleton band?

Well, this isn’t the first Day of the Dead band pumpkin diorama. However, it seems situated on Hoskull feet for some reason.

12. You can never use too much bling for a pumpkin coach.

This one has a couple of windows and gold encrusted pumpkin wheels. Not sure if having candles on the top is wise.

13. Be wary of the gold skull inside.

And it’s inside a black pumpkin covered with cobwebs and large plastic spiders. Best you keep away.

14. Looks like ghosts are coming from that haunted house.

There’s even some green light coming from inside. Hope that black cat isn’t freaked out.

15. Care to spend some time in the pumpkin patch?

Seems like there’s a pumpkin patch inside the pumpkin. But no one to sell pumpkins on the stand.

16. Sometimes you got to add some teeth to increase the scares.

For some reason, the pumpkin itself is more terrifying than what’s inside it. Hope those monsters don’t stay in the grave yard too long.

17. Even till death do they part doesn’t do justice for their love.

Well, they’re a skeleton bride and groom. Yet, they have tied the knot in front of all their friends.

18. Want to guess what this witch is brewing?

I don’t know. But these ghost trick-or-treaters behind the seem quite interested.

19. Open the door and you’ll find a whole new world inside.

The door has a window for you to peak in. Nonetheless, it’s quite bright inside.

20. It always looks pretty outside near the fire.

Only has pumpkins beside the lawn chair. Yet, the sky is filled with stars.

21. Best you don’t look at the monster down below.

Here’s another pumpkin diorama from Stranger Things. And it seems the demagorgon is inside.

22. You don’t want to cross these 3 ghosts.

This one uses old photos for the ghosts. Still, it’s quite creative.

23. It’s not scary unless it’s infested with cobwebs.

There are plenty of skeletons inside. Some are even in fancy suits.

24. Perhaps you might want to see an elaborate skull inside.

Don’t forget to put flowers inside, too. Love the jewel decorations around the opening.

25. Beware of the grim dog in the cemetery on Halloween night.

Well, the dog is just made out of black construction paper. Also has skull lights for some reason.

26. Don’t forget to decorate with 3 jack-o’-lanterns on the table.

Seems like someone’s preparing for a Halloween party. Wonder what the black cat is thinking.

27. Perhaps you’d like to see a scarecrow inside.

29. Seems like a mummy has risen in this cemetery.

Despite that mummies like that mostly come from ancient Egypt. But I can understand the grave yard setting.

30. The witch always goes into the woods to brew her potions.

The inside mostly consists of paper crafts. Yet, the purple eeriness is pitch perfect.

Okay, this is a takeoff of Luke Skywalker squaring against the Wampa from The Empire Strikes Back. Nonetheless, this is pretty clever.

33. Perhaps you’d like to sit on a bench in the woods.

You’ll find all kinds of plants inside. The bench has a pumpkin though. Love how it lights up.

34. Don’t like Halloween? This Thanksgiving diorama might suit you.

After all, both holidays use pumpkins. Though Thanksgiving has a rather shady legacy in regards with the plight of Native Americans.

35. When the sun goes away, the ghosts come to play.

There are even skeletons coming out of the graves. Best to watch your back.

36. All a witch needs is her little hut outside of town.

Even her own house has a hat on. Comes with a witchy owl.

37. Nobody could resist a raccoon inside a pumpkin.

Again, this is more of a fall pumpkin diorama. But the raccoon is so cute I couldn’t resist.

38. These scarecrows can always lend a hand.

Seems more like a harvest diorama with scarecrows. So adorable.

39. Perhaps you might want to spend your fall days in a field.

He’s on a bench with a squirrel and a scarecrow. As the leaves deck the straw.

40. Would you like to go for a swing?

Yet, another fall pumpkin diorama. While the scarecrow has a smile on its face.

41. Nothing makes a fall night like seeing a scarecrow in the patch.

Turns out it’s a scarecrow in a pumpkin patch with a black cat. And yes, it’s adorable.

42. Wonder what’s gotten into this witch.

Since her feet are sticking out. Oh, wait, someone must’ve poured water on her.

They all seem to have rather unique faces. Also like the scarecrow.

The witch is depicted within the full moon. Though she didn’t leave much behind.

Well, the castle is on a hill far in the background. Comes with a ghost and pumpkin tree guy.

46. There’s nothing touching like 2 skeletons embracing in the cemetery.

The pumpkin seems to be of an odd shape. Yet, you have to love the touching reunion here.

47. It’s a scary sight inside this jack-o’-lantern.

Inside, a skeleton contemplates upon meeting old friends. While it sits under a tree with a spiderweb.

48. The ghosts always love a graveyard smash.

They frolic among the tombstones and the bare trees. Doesn’t hurt to have a few pumpkins, too.

49. You’d be pressed to find a cobweb infested forest.

Though you’d find some pumpkins on the ground. While the purple light gives a scary glow.

50. Perhaps you’d like to enter this haunted house if you dare.

This one emits green, yellow, and blue light from the inside. While the haunted house looks really decrepit that you’d think it’s been abandoned for years.

During the Halloween season, party stores can always make a killing selling costumes and decorations. After all, you can find all kinds of décor at any store this time of year with a spooky edge. You’ll find cobwebs, skeletons, pumpkins, bats, and other décor galore. However, there are plenty of people who love Halloween so much that they’d rather make their own. They may use old clothes to make a scarecrow. They might buy supplies from a party or craft store and add their own personal touch. Over the years, I’ve shown you various Halloween crafts many could make to enrich their home and I do the same for this year. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another treasure trove of spooky Halloween craft projects. Enjoy if you dare.

Perhaps you might want some witch to greet you.

This is a wooden witch with a crescent moon and a frog in her hair. Love her pigtails.

2. Greet your guests with this spider infested wreath.

Is mostly black with sparkly orange spiders on them. Guaranteed to freak out the arachnaphobes in your life.

3. Any little witch would enjoy this jack-o’-lantern dress.

You can even make 2 for sisters to match. And yes, they’re adorable.

4. There are no bones about this skeleton chandelier.

Might want to go to a Halloween store to get some of the supplies. But you have to love how it’s covered in cobwebs and spiders.

These are just black pillows with cat features. Includes whiskers, eyes, and nose.

This is more of a kid’s game for a Halloween party. Yet, they’re nevertheless quite cute with wraps and googly eyes.

Yes, it’s another spider wreath. But this one has way more spiders and cobwebs.

This is more of a lawn display. Yet, I uses a lot of compelling special effects.

Contains all the fall flowers and foliage your heart desires. Though most of them can easily be found on grave stones since they’re fake.

Unlike Christmas trees, these Halloween trees can look as scrawny as you want it to. Since we’re going for spooky here.

Seeing how the potion’s brewing a purple glow, you wouldn’t want to try. Still, love the visual effects.

Though I have to admit that candy corn is utterly disgusting. Yet, this panel is quite charming.

Each of these has a lantern painted on them. And each is cut to let the light shine through.

Each of these pumpkins is a small origami box. But each has a face making you smile.

Of course, you won’t find anyone in them. Yet, the illustration is spot on.

Actually, they’re supposed to be cauldrons. While the fire mostly consist of string lights and cloth.

Mostly consists of a welcome mat painted in green and black. Love the slime flowing from the top.

As you can see, it’s quite large. But it comes iwth a jaw frame and a tail pendulum.

This depicts a night sky with a full moon and bare tree. Love it though.

Actually this is more of a portrait painting with trapped hands. Love how it goes with the snake candle holders.

This seems a rather simple decoration. As long as you can cut up bats that small.

Seems like a rather friendly monster. Even has a bow in its hair.

Indeed, it seems like some witches live here after all. Though it’s hard to say how many.

They’re made out of wood with fake flames. And they’re decorated with a small wreath.

Well, this is more of a column with a cracked top. But the candles are melted and held above by a skeleton.

73. Apparently, a witch has fallen into her own cauldron.

You can even see her legs sticking out. Though the brew is made out of green fluff.

Includes Frankenstein monster, ghost, vampire, black cat, and girl in black. And yes, they’re so eerily adorable.

75. Got old wine bottles? Paint some haunted images on them.

Contains a spider on one and a skull and bones on another. The middle one just has black and white stripes.

76. Care for a crow on a perch?

Okay, the bird isn’t real. But it sure as hell looks intimidating and badass.

77. You might want to run from these hanging ghosts.

They basically consist of 3 heads under a transparent sheet. So you best get the materials from a craft store.

78. Greet your haunted guests for your party with this festive Halloween wreath.

It’s a grapevine wreath with black, orange and purple baubles. And it’s tied with an orange and zigzag bow.

79. Grace your Halloween home with this haunted pallet.

Depicts a witch on a broom flying among a full moon. Great for any Halloween home.

80. Apparently, the trees have eyes.

Just stick a pair of large ides inside a billowing tree. It’s as simple as that.

This one has stones on the heel and a spider web inside. So even witches have to stay in fashion.

Says “Come Sit a Spell.” Comes with a broomstick and striped orange ribbon.

This one is made from a wooden basket with a Frankenstein monster face. Nonetheless, it’s adorable.

91. Perhaps a simple yarn wreath is all you need.

This one just has a felt bat and moon. Not scary but quite impressive.

92. Nobody can resist the spells of these amigurumi witches.

Each of these has a unique hair color and style. But they’ll nevertheless enchant you with cuteness.

The Wonderful World of Scarecrows (Fourth Edition)

Now that it’s fall, it’s the season for scarecrows. Though I’m not sure if any of these can actually scare crows away from your garden vegetables or crops. Or at least once the birds pick at it and realize it’s just a mere figure of straw and old clothes that doesn’t do much of anything. Yet, people still make them anyway for their fall décor. There are even contests. Most of these consists of a mannequin dressed in old clothes and stuffed with straw. Yet, you’ll find a few made of metal and other materials. Some don’t even have clothes on at all. Of course, some people decide to get creative with these guys. So some of them can be well beyond the farmer image we’re used to. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of delightful scarecrows for the fall.

Birds better watch out for this woman in black.

Indeed, she has red hair. Yet, she could be a witch for all you know.

2. There’s nothing like an afternoon tea in the garden.

Each lady has a bouquet of flowers on her lap. Also, love their hats.

3. I guess his name is either “Buckethead” or “Metalman.”

Well, he has a bucket for a head. But his trunk mostly consists of a trash can. While his limbs are air pipes.

4. Sometimes you don’t need an old skirt if straw will do.

The only clothing she has is a shawl full of holes. Yet, you have to like her straw dress and hat.

5. Have room for an old crow?

This one has a crow head. While crows are normally sharp, this one doesn’t have a lot of fashion sense.

6. You will be delighted with this happy chef.

He’s made out of straw in a chef’s outfit. Yet, you won’t find him in any restaurant kitchen.

7. “Yer a wizard, Harry.”

These are Harry Potter and Hagrid. Yet, the Hagrid one kind of gives the creeps. Since he comes off as a frightening cult leader.

8. This woman has a rather colorful disposition.

She has a rather loud coat draping her outfit. Yet, I love her hat the best.

9. You can’t doubt her flower power.

She’s wearing a flower skirt with a flower sash and scarf. She even has flower eyes.

10. I have to admit, her skirt is quite trashy.

Okay, her skirt is a trash can and chicken wire. Yet, her head is a real can.

The Dollhouse World of Miniatures

When many of us are kids, we may have dollhouses we’d play with from time to time. They may be part of a set or homemade. Yet most will come with a family along with all kinds of furniture and accessories which are sometimes sold separately. However, while dollhouses have primarily been a domain for children, their collection and crafting can also be a hobby for many adults. Think Lester Freamon in The Wire who likes making dollhouse furniture. Nonetheless, today’s dollhouses trace their history back 400 years to the European baby house display cases that showed idealized interiors, which first appeared in the 16th century. These displays mostly consisted of cabinet display cases consisting of individual rooms. Yet, unlike most dollhouses you’d find at Wal Mart today, these were handmade with architectural details and filled with miniature household items that weren’t made to a uniform scale even within an individual house. These were solely made for adults. And no, the reasons had nothing to do with safety concerns since child labor was rampant back then. But more because these early dollhouses were often status symbols of rich people who could afford them in England, Germany, and the Netherlands. Not to mention, they often cost as much as a house. Smaller houses with more realistic exteriors appeared in Europe during the 18th century. As you’d expect, early dollhouses were all handmade until the Industrial Revolution when they began mass producing toys. Of course, while many of us played with dollhouses as kids, the miniatures I will show on this post are more the work of adult hobbyists. So enjoy for your reading pleasure.

The dividing wall even contains a bookshelf. Love the windows and chair.

8. Sometimes a small one room trailer is all you need.

This is more of a colorful display you’d find in a Wes Anderson movie. Still, it’s quite quaint.

This one has pots and pans dangling at the ceiling. Yet, you won’t find a dishwasher, sink, or refrigerator here.

10. This print shop seems quite busy.

You’d almost think Benjamin Franklin would work in such a place. Though there doesn’t seem to be a printing press in sight.

11. Sometimes it helps if the wallpaper matches the floor.

Consists of 2 striped chairs with a painting and chest of drawers between them. The chairs even match the lamps as well.

12. This bakeshop is open for business.

Includes a staircase with open air dining. Tables even have flowers on them.

13. Perhaps a more modern style may suit you.

As you can see, most of these dollhouse styles seem to date before the 1920s. Though this one has zebra rug and antique bust.

14. In a palace, you’ll find plenty of rooms with outrageous extravagance.

I’m sure this room is part of a palace. Includes a chandelier and other lavish decorations.

15. A garden can always bring beauty into a sitting room.

Seems like someone’s having a tea party in here. Yet, the pug has to grab a present.

Apparently, it’s quite gilded from ceiling to floor. Though you’d find fruit on the central table.

This room has a lot of fancy decorations. Guess this was in some lavish mansion.

Seems like this place was built in the 1960s from what I could tell from the furniture. And the machines are all defunct.

Seems like almost everything in here had to match the china. Though the chaise lounge seems quite comfy.

Indeed, this place seems straight from the 1950s. And yes, it’s made from a metal box.

This one has nice pillow seats around the table. Hope the wall is tiled with real mosaic, too.

This one even has the curtains match as well. Got to love the pillows though.

This is part of a palace. Indeed, it’s quite lavish. Though I’m not sure about the color.

I guess the trees are photos for the background. Yet, you have to admire those Greek columns.

It’s even lit by a small chandelier. Still, got to love the fireplace.

The floral wallpaper is pretty. Not sure how I feel about the covers.

You can see the living room on the bottom floor. And you can peek in the bedroom at the top.

Well, a couple of chairs aren’t white. But they go well with the white fireplace and shelf.

This room is in a little case. And yes, it has pink wallpaper and shelves.

After all, this room has plenty of dress pictures. So it’s not hard to assume it’s a dressing room.

31. A Christmas tree should always brighten a room around the holidays.

This one even includes candles which is a critical fire hazard. Though this display is supposed to reflect the 18th century.

Since the whole laundry room is in a bottle of detergent. Still, got to love the clothesline.

33. Got to put some wood in the stove.

This is an old-fashioned stove with copper crockery. Thank God, we have electric.

34. A desk should have as many of compartments as you desire.

This one keeps books and papers inside the top shelves. Though the green color isn’t for me.

35. A bathroom should have a modern touch.

Sure it only has red walls and a mosaic floor. But are posters necessary?

36. A design studio should have plenty of light.

This one has rather simple and wide windows. Though seems like a great place for crafts.

37. Perhaps you’d like a room with some Asian flair.

Consists of pillow seats and a low table. Yet, they also match the red cushioned sofa.

38. A white bedroom always looks clean.

Includes a shelf for white and floral blankets. Love the flowers though.

39. Any little girl would love a bedroom like this.

Has floral wallpaper and dolls on the bed. Also, you’ll find some on a shelf.

40. A 21st century kitchen should have some modern flair.

This one has a checkered floor with flowers on the tables. Includes a sleek new fridge, too.

And it seems to be quite a tea party. Judging by how many teapots there are in this dining room.

Indeed, all these pillows come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and patterns. Love the drapes.

I bet a fire is fake. Yet, the room seems to have a rather cozy atmosphere.

This seems like something you’d find in a Renaissance castle. Yet, the woodwork is quite ornate.

The cars are definitely Volkswagens. And some will need tires replaced.

This is a more old-fashioned kitchen with a wooden ice box in the background. Also, note the blue and white porcelain.

You should look inside the piano. It’s quite an ornate work of art.

You can see a couple of paintings near the bed. And yes, it’s in a modern design.

Has a white bed inside. While the upholstery is in gold. Yes, lavish indeed.

You’d think this was an old kitchen. Until you see a small package of Ritz crackers.

The dishes consist of fine china and jugs. Perfect for any old American kitchen.

This seems like a rather swanky restaurant or hotel. Still, love the Christmas tree in the next room.

Once again, the set includes a luxurious dog bed. Like the gold divider though.

Has a deer head aboce the bed. And plaid curtains on each side to match. Great for a weary traveler.

The walls are quite elaborate with Greek columns and wide windows. Love the chandelier.

The Folded Paper World of Origami

Derived from the Japanese words that mean “folding paper,” the goal of origami is to transform a flat sheet of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques. Use of cuts, glue, and markings are usually discouraged. The small number of basic origami folds can be combined in a variety of ways to make intricate designs. Generally, these designs start with a square paper sheet whose sides may be of different colors, prints, or patterns. Traditional Japanese origami has been practiced since the Edo period has often been less strict about these conventions, sometimes even cutting the paper or using nonsquare shapes to start with. Nonetheless, while the traditional origami is derived from the Edo period with a reference from a 1680 poem, the practice is said be introduced by Buddhist monks in the 6th century. At first, origami was only used in religious ceremonies due to the high price of paper. Though they were also used at weddings and as gifts by the upper classes. Anyway, look into Pinterest and you’ll find plenty of origami designs and types. So for your reading pleasure, I give you a treasure trove of creations from the world of origami.

While some fans would rather buy some overpriced college crap courtesy of the NCAA, some prefer to make their own. Though it sometimes might require buying craft stuff with their teams name and logo on it. Indeed, the NCAA may not look too kindly on this practice since most of these crafts aren’t licensed by them. Particularly if they wind up being sold on Etsy, eBay or Amazon. Nonetheless, you have to admit that many of these crafts can have their own little charm about them. Since they tend to have a rather personal touch and creative edge. On Pinterest you’ll find a lot of stuff in the shape of the college state or in the college’s colors. Of course, I couldn’t welcome the football season without doing another annual post on NFL crafts. Indeed, the NFL may not be keen on you making your own gear if you intend to sell it. Well, unless you buy some craft supplies with your favorite team’s logo on it, which may cost you a shitload of money. However, you can do quite fine if you just use craft supplies in your team’s colors as well. Nonetheless, once you make your NFL craft creation, you can sell it on Etsy. You can put it up in your home during the season or even wear it on game day if possible. If you don’t believe me, you can see what they have on Pinterest, Etsy, or Google Images. Now we’re on to crafts. You might see with my opening pictures that the 4th of July is often celebrated outdoors with picnics, barbecues, and fireworks. After all, it takes place during the summer. And in some places of America, you’re bound to find towns holding parades and cities staging events like regattas if they’re near a body of water. So it’s only a given you’d see stores across the US brimming with American flag decorations in red, white, and blue galore. Yet, some people might prefer some DIY stuff they can make their own. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of ingenious and fanfare worthy crafts for the 4th of July.

A few flags in your flower patch makes a great centerpiece.

Yet, I’m not sure if the flowers are real or fake. But they go well with the stripes.

2. Don’t want to ruin an American flag? Use a wooden panel instead.

Sure it may not have all the stars and stripes. But our flag is very complicated to replicate.

3. Plant your flowers in these patriotic pots.

Though Christmas and Halloween may be far more popular holidays, Easter has its large share of fans. So it’s no surprise that we have plenty of Easter village houses. After all, if you’re a company that sells these houses and accessories, why stop at Christmas when you can sell similarly themed items all year long? Sure these village sets can be very expensive. But they’re popular enough for me to do multiple posts on them. With Easter, you find plenty of houses in pastel colors as well as bunnies, chicks, flowers, butterflies, and sheep. Now that I’ve gotten the treats over with, it’s on to the craft projects. As you can see, most of these are associated with spring like bunnies, flowers, butterflies, sheep, chicks, and colored eggs. You may even find some outdoor decorations like you see above. Yet, alongside St. Patrick’s Day decorations, Easter decor isn’t out of view since it might fall sometime after March 17. While many people might put some Easter decorations up on their houses, some may prefer to make their own. And for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of Easter craft projects for you to enjoy.

You can’t go wrong with a bunny centerpiece on moss.

Includes a plaster bunny with fancy Easter eggs. Goes well with a daffodil bouquet.

2. Don’t forget to hang your bunnies with your carrots.

The carrots are orange while the bunnies are green and fuzzy. Includes balls of green and orange yarn.

3. Care for a wooden bunny spoon?

Well, she’s made from a wooden spoon. Her arms are made from pipe cleaners while she sports purple bows.
