Now we get to Easter village houses. As the Coronavirus ravages the world, social events are cancelled, Easter celebrations are postponed, and everyone’s staying at home. I’ve already missed church for 2 weeks and will probably do so for several more, which I don’t do very often save if I have to work or are on vacation. My dad also had to cancel a dental appointment for me. Anyway, like you see with the Christmas and Halloween village houses, these are mostly made of glitter putz. But these Easter houses are mostly in spring colors. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another treasure trove of Easter village houses.

A key Christmas feature is the gingerbread house. In Hansel and Gretel, this is the fairy tale equivalent of a windowless van with free candy. Anyway, on these you’ll find stuff like gum drops you’d never eat, candy canes, icing, and more. For many families, it’s a Christmas tradition that stores often sell gingerbread house kids. Now I don’t usually show them because they’re quite standard and lack much originality. But for some repressed artists, these kits are just child’s play. When you Google gingerbread houses, you come to some elaborate displays at some of these contests. Obviously a sign that some people have too much time on their hands. Anyway, for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of sweet gingerbread houses.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas with These Village Houses (Fifth Edition)

One of my favorite Christmas posts during the holidays are my Christmas village posts. Mostly because they feature a bunch of glittery houses that sometimes light up in the snow. You can see them on shelves, with train sets, or on table displays. Of course, I don’t have a Christmas village in my house because I live with my parents, don’t have the money for it, and am very stingy with my cash. Because after all, Christmas village displays can be rather expensive. Yet, while there are plenty of Christmas houses available, I usually feature the putz houses mostly since they’re made from materials you might find in your house. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of delightful Christmas village houses.

A Christmas house can really use a tower.

The place also has a column porch. The red bows are the only Christmas decorations present.

2. Is tinsel a kind of snow and ice?

Apparently, it must be. Since it hangs on the edge of the roof and the chimney. Like the tree though.

3. A small white house is always nice.

This one has a glittery roof with a Santa and snowman. Even lights up.

4. Perhaps you might prefer a light green house.

Almost the whole house is green here. Comes with a bottle brush tree.

5. A glittery church should always dominate the village.

The houses are made from porcelain and are painted. The church is putz. Love the gold tree.

Well, it’s red like a barn. But the windows and tower indicate church. Okay, it’s a church. Or is it a house?

The Haunted World of Halloween Village Houses (Fourth Edition)

Next, it’s on to Halloween village houses. Borrowed from the Christmas village house tradition, these have a rather haunted twist. After all, companies need to make money all year round. While many people go all out on Halloween. So it makes good business sense. Nonetheless, many prefer to make their own haunted houses in black and orange. Some might contain skeletons and candy corn covered trees. Some might have jack-o’-lanterns, trick-or-treaters, and other ghoulish monsters. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of Halloween village houses. Enjoy if you dare.

You might pass by this house covered in vines.

Though it doesn’t seem decrepit at all. Since it’s in bright pink and orange.

2. A haunted house always needs bare-limbed trees nearby.

These trees are made out of wire and burlap. The house seems like it’s made out of stone.

3. Bats always want a little bright orange now and then.

Yet, smoke seems to come from the chimneys despite its abandoned facade. Has a jack-o’-lantern at the front door.

This is an orange house with a black roof. The tree nearby even has skull decorations.

35. Witches enjoy being near a glittery orange house.

Has a black roof with 2 chimneys and orange spider. Yet, the witch looks quite large in proportion.

36. You’d almost think this is a pumpkin house.

Well, it certainly resembles a jack-o’-lantern monster. Yet, it has a roof akin to Hagrid’s hut.

37. This black house has really loose shutters.

Contains a jack-o’-lantern and potion outside. Still, please don’t drink the potion.

38. Perhaps a plain white house will do.

Make sure it looks abandoned and decrepit enough. Includes 2 pumpkins near a white fence.

Has a banner reading “Creepy.” Also has candy corn and spiders on the bottom windows.

This tree still has its leaves though. Also includes pumpkins and tombstones.

Has a cat near the roof. While pumpkins sit near the door.

This one has batty trim on the roof. The ghost is made from a charm you’d use for a charm bracelet.

The trees look rather stringy. Then again, it’s supposed to produce a spooky atmosphere that’s appropriate for Halloween.

It’s in a triangle and it’s yellow, white, and orange. Not sure if it tastes like sugar wax.

Now we’re on to the Easter village houses. A holdover from the similar Christmas tradition, you’ll find many of them sporting pastel and spring colors, cute animals, colored eggs, and flowers. Nonetheless, since promoting for other holidays is profitable, you’ll find many companies encourage people to create their own springtime town within the confines of their homes. Some of these might be the porcelain houses that light up from the inside. But there’s a putz set as well. These houses are usually made out of cardboard but are painted and covered with glitter. They may light up from the inside and possibly have pipe cleaner trees. Yet, they can be stunning just the same. Nonetheless, for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of Easter village houses. Enjoy.
