Now that I’m done with the treats, let’s move on to the crafts. Anyway, given that Easter occurs in the spring, it’s only fitting that people decorate their homes with flowers, eggs, bunnies, chicks, and so much that’s associated with spring. Though some might go with a religious bent with crosses. In any case, in the days following up to Easter, you’re bound to find stores selling Easter decorations for all your desires. Yet, as always with most holidays, some resort to making their own. Nonetheless, unlike the treats that will eventually get eaten, you can stash the crafted decorations for next year once the Easter season is over. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of springy Easter craft projects. Enjoy.

After Saint Patrick’s Day passes, you’ll see plenty of bunnies, color eggs, chickies, flowers, and pastels just in time for Easter. Now I usually do my Easter post as soon as I complete the ones for Saint Patrick’s Day since the date can fluctuate within March and April. Though this year, it’s in late April. In any respect, given that Easter is a major holiday, many people usually celebrate with big dinners filled with food. Sure it’s not a big holiday like Halloween or Christmas, but it’s a major religious holiday with tons of candy and spring stuff. So it counts. Nonetheless, look on any Easter table and you’ll find plenty of delights like ham and scalloped potatoes. Maybe even a bunny cake. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of Easter treats. Enjoy.

Each of these even wears their own clothes made out of icing. While they hold a small carrot.

The Pastel World of Easter Village Houses (Second Edition)

Though Christmas and Halloween may be far more popular holidays, Easter has its large share of fans. So it’s no surprise that we have plenty of Easter village houses. After all, if you’re a company that sells these houses and accessories, why stop at Christmas when you can sell similarly themed items all year long? Sure these village sets can be very expensive. But they’re popular enough for me to do multiple posts on them. With Easter, you find plenty of houses in pastel colors as well as bunnies, chicks, flowers, butterflies, and sheep. And yes, there’s plenty of cuteness to go around. Though many of these houses may be made out of porcelain, some of these Easter village enthusiasts opt for the putz variety. Sometimes, they make their own putz house which you might see on Etsy. Anyway, for your reading pleasure, I give you another treasury of charming Easter houses and villages. Enjoy.

An Easter putz village should always be all glitter.

Make sure you include bunnies and chicks. Oh, and that the trees have Easter eggs on them.

Fun with Easter Bonnets (Fourth Edition)

One of the key traditions of Easter is the Easter bonnet. Though originally worn by ladies for Easter church services in less casual times, it has somewhat fallen out of fashion in that regard. Yet, Easter bonnets have always been nonetheless elaborate since the holiday marks the end of Lent. However, in places like New York, thanks to Easter parades, Easter bonnets have risen to a whole new level. No longer are they seen as what women wear to church anymore. Or even women in general. But the kind of wacky hat to wear for a Easter parade. Some of these hats may seem straight out of a Las Vegas showgirl routine. Some may be DIY. Some may have flowers, eggs, chicks, sheep, and other Easter motifs. Some may not. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of extravagant Easter bonnets.

Some girls go for a beehive while some prefer butterflies.

Then a again the woman’s hat may be meant to imitate straw. Yet, the butterflies are pretty.

2. You’d almost think she got her hat from outer space.

This an old photo of a woman wearing a hat that would rival Lady Gaga. I don’t know if any explanation is necessary.

3. You can always line your straw bunny hat with chocolate.

Though I’d say it’s a waste of chocolate. Love the flower and fuzzy bunny ears.

4. Sometimes Easter can take a prehistoric turn.

The triceratops even has fancy eggs. I guess this is meant for a boy who’s a big fan of Jurassic Park.

This plush bunny even has its own bonnet. Yes, it’s kind of confusing. But it’s adorable.

Has pipe cleaners with squiggles attached to eggs. Got to like Darth Vader and a clone soldier.

Yes, she has an giant ice cream cone on her head. But at least it has chocolate bits on the top.

This one has lips with a cigarette. Like you see on femme fatales in film noir movies from the 1950s.

Has plenty of bunnies and chickies to your heart’s content. Also includes some daisies on the brim.

It’s in pink, purple, and yellow brick. Still, I love the bunnies and flowers.

Kind of reminds me of Shaun the Sheep. And it’s most likely made by a child.

Easter Greetings from the Days of Yesteryear (Fourth Edition)

During the Easter season, you might see a lot of these Easter greeting cards. Many of them depict beautiful imagery like you see above. Some of them might have cute bunnies and chicks. Some may have colored eggs and Easter baskets. Yet, while sending Easter greeting cards isn’t very common nowadays, people would send these back in the day. But while some of these may evoke warm feelings of nostalgia, some might make you scratch your head in confusion. Or inspire laughter. Since I started doing posts on vintage Easter cards, I’ve found plenty, especially if they pertain to anthropomorphic critters like rabbits and chicks. This time is no different. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another treasury of crazy vintage Easter cards that time forgot.

Sergeant Bunny’s selling some eggs and chicks.

Here he has some eggs in bags and nets and chicks in a cage. Whew, selling this stuff must be a lot of work.

2. Gather round to hear some homeless bunny street musicians.

Heard they’re a folk music band called Benny Long Ears and the Hare Hutch. And they’re basically playing for carrots.

3. Easter greetings from the egg shell hot air balloon.

While it may look cute, you have to wonder about the laws of physics in this one. Because I’m not sure if an eggshell has any wind resistance.

4. Sometimes you have to lounge around in a giant eggshell.

Because walking your rabbits is always exhausting. Oh, that’s supposed to be a wagon?

5. Hope you can make yourselves at home at a giant egg house.

Apparently, they come from a world with two kinds of rabbits. Ones that wear clothes and walk on hind legs. And ones that don’t. Also, the chicken couple doesn’t seem to mind that the a sentient rabbit is hoarding eggs.

6. Nothing says Easter like a naked child on top a lamb.

However, the sheep doesn’t seem thrilled with the kid riding on it and incessantly ringing the bell. Yes, that can be annoying.

7. Easter greetings from the chick hikers.

However, Jerry wasn’t pleased with Stanley’s habit of singing and playing accordion music. If Stan didn’t stop, Jerry swore to God he’d whack him with his cane.

8. “Who ordered the Easter eggs?”

While the Easter Bunny fills Easter baskets once a year, he mostly works as a waiter. And he mostly gets by on tips.

9. Be careful holding Easter eggs on your dress.

Because the mama and daddy chicks are out for blood. Wait, chicks have chicks? This is messed up.

10. “So, kids, you want your eggs wrapped?”

And there you see the chicks looking by as the rabbit vender sells their fellow brethren to children. And they can’t do anything about it.

11. Children always delight seeing bunny egg races.

Funny, how the bunny’s driving two other bunnies to run the chariot. Not sure how that works.

12. Since Easter opens spring, love is in the air.

Though I’m not sure if this boy knows anything about consent. Because I don’t think the girl asked for it. Boy, sexual misconduct starts young.

13. Someone seems reluctant to get out of her shell.

Though she appears annoyed, it’s her doll that terrifies me. Yeah, that thing freaks me out.

14. Of course, you need egg lamps for the Easter parade.

Didn’t know that Easter eggs could light up like that. Yet, that doesn’t explain why they’re not wearing pants.

15. Eggshell rabbit wishes you a joyous Easter.

Yet, he’s greeted by a bunny with no clothes on. And the eggshell has a few cracks.

16. This chick has some eggs to sell in his basket.

Yes, this is a chick selling Easter eggs. Not sure how to explain that. And he’s even smoking a pipe.

17. City chickens always take the flower trolley.

So this trolley is filled with chicks and chickens. And yet, the chicks are seen as adults. Not sure why.

18. Sometimes a bunny has to do what she’s got to do.

Seems like the mother bunny’s come back with a load of eggs. And she’s showing her daughter the ropes.

19. Apparently, chicks always go for the bunnies.

Well, at least the rabbit is a gentleman. While the chick band plays in the background.

20. These 3 bunnies await for a steamship to come by the docks.

One bunny is using a chick for his portable organ. Like an organ grinder uses a monkey.

21. Holding a baby chick is always precious.

Yet, this girl is like, “I’ll hug em’ and squeeze em’ and keep em’ for ever and ever.” Yeah, that chick’s not set for a happy life.

22. Hop aboard the mighty SS Eggshell.

It’s an eggshell wooden ship with sails and flowers. But it’s all manned by chicks.

23. Chicks always love to fly on an Easter basket airship.

It even has Easter egg sand bags. But let’s hope no beak goes near the blimp.

24. Easter greetings from the chicks on a jeep.

Okay, it’s an old fashioned car. And the chicks are in military hats. But you have to like the pussy willow hood ornament.

25. In America, Easter chicks always hop off the blimp with a ladder.

Yes, I know it’s kind of crazy. But at least they’re not putting their beaks at the canvas.

26. Nothing impresses like pulling a rabbit out of their hat.

Yet, the bunny doesn’t seem impressed. Hope that woman stops gloating because she might be in a world of pain.

27. Spring cherubs always spread happiness at Eastertide.

This is kind of like a version of the bunny egg chariot. But the naked children pulling the egg cart don’t seem to mind.

28. Children always like finding eggs and chasing chickens.

Luckily the rooster got his family behind the giant Easter egg. Still, if the kids piss him off, they will soon regret it. Because roosters will attack.

29. I guess nobody wants to share a small egg home with a sheep.

Don’t look now. But I think that sheep just mauled the little kid. Yes, this home isn’t big enough for the both of them.

30. Let’s stop by to the hen with the Easter eggs.

Tragically, she’s so poor that she’ll have to sell some of her own children. What a shame.

31. Sometimes the Easter Bunny may toss an egg to a child.

Let’s hope that egg doesn’t break. Or else the girl gets egg all over her face.

32. A white rabbit is always a stunning Easter sight.

Yet, a white rabbit with red eyes has a certain creepiness to it. And this one seems like it’s up to something.

33. This chick and rabbit sit on a bench on a lazy afternoon.

The chick has a basket of eggs. Yet, the chick and bunny seems kind of messed up to me.

34. Victorian ladies often found bunnies irresistible.

She keeps them in the cage she’s sitting on along with a couple of chicks. Oh, and she’s wearing a fur stole while holding one.

35. “May Easter now and ever be,/A source for pleasure pure for thee.”

Yes, I know the rabbit’s talking from the egg. But it’s the little girl who creeps me out.

36. It’s well known that the Easter Bunny often stages a raid at a chicken coop.

Yet, while dismayed, the hen gives up without a fight. The rabbits are stunned.

37. Hobo rabbits often travel on old timey bikes.

How these rabbits can climb up the bikes, I have now idea. Yet they somehow do while carrying bindle sticks.

38. Somehow this chick’s terrified of taking a swim.

Considering what swimsuit she’s wearing, I wouldn’t blame her. Those kinds of swimsuits were impractical anyway.

39. It’s always best to practice singing early in the morning.

But standing on an egg? Not the brightest idea. Though I do like how the conductor is in his robe and pajamas.

40. While on a boat ride, a guitar always comes handy.

Yet, it seems that no one wants to hear Old Cheepy play “Oh, Susannah” for the 100th time. How annoying.

41. Apparently, Johnny likes to balance a chicken and eggs on his head.

There are so many ways this can go wrong. Also, that girl looks a bit weird.

42. “So what will it be for the eggs?”

And I see the kids and the rabbit are at the haggling stage. Don’t really want to know how this goes.

43. It takes a bell to teach bunnies how to sing.

A bell conducting bunnies during a recital? Sounds like this card was envisioned during a absinthe binge.

44. “Wait, who goes there?”

Well, if you were minding your business while being intruded by a creepy guy with a hammer and chisel, you’d feel the same way. That guy is terrifying.

45. Happy Easter from a couple of egg people.

Yes, I know these two seem like they’re straight from a drunken haze. Because I don’t know how else to explain it.

46. Speaking of egg people, here’s a couple walking their bee.

Yes, this is an egg couple walking their bee. Can’t believe I just said that.

47. Occasionally, a rooster might upset the eggs from the basket.

Not sure what I find a bit freakish about this. The large rooster screaming over eggs about to break? Or its human hands?

48. Hope your Easter comes well stacked.

Though these bunnies are stacked on each other, one is worried how their tower will hold. Let’s hope it doesn’t fall.

49. These bush bunnies wish you a happy Easter.

However, these rabbits seem like they’re planning to kill someone than give eggs to children. Avoid them like the plague.

50. This bunny band always plays on the eggs.

One’s even playing on eggs with music on it. Yet, let’s hope they’re careful for eggs aren’t the most durable things.

The Wonderful World of Peep Shows (No, Not that Kind) (Fifth Edition)

No Easter can be complete on my blog without a post on peep dioramas. Though peeps are sugar-coated marshmallow candy unfit for human consumption, you can easily use them to make your own peep dioramas. You even enter them in contests. One of the most famous is sponsored by the Washington Post. These peep scenes can come in many different varieties. Some can be parodies of significant works in pop culture. Some can be satirical depictions of current or history. Or some can be showcases to aspects of everyday life or a particular location. Some of these peep dioramas can be made by children or families. Some by repressed art majors or artists. Yet, whatever the case, these marshmallow scenes can be a joy to look at. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of delightful peep dioramas for your Easter season.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident that all peeps are created equal.”

It’s supposed to depict the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The main players have wigs.

2. He’ll soon break his glasses soon. Too bad nobody’s fixing them.

This is a takeoff from a famous Twilight Zone episode. It pertains to librarian who holes himself up during a nuclear war.

3. Get ready to rock with Spinal Peep.

It’s based on Spinal Tap, which is a parody rock group itself. Nonetheless, I don’t expect the drummer to last.

4. How about a peep for the Buckeyes?

Seems like they’ve come to a packed stadium. Even has a few buckeye nuts in back.

5. Apparently, some bunnies have an inkling for street art.

Or is it graffiti? Still, how did that one bunny get a ladder, I’ll never know.

6. “Do you hear the people sing, singing the songs of angry peeps?”

Yes, it’s another Les Miserables peep diorama. But this one has buildings so I couldn’t miss it.

7. Looks like this road’s closed for work by PeepDOT.

Here are all the bunnies in their orange outfits. Yet, what’s with the chicks in the dump truck?

8. Evidently, this VMA peep show raised many eyebrows.

This is from the 2013 VMAs when Miley Cyrus twerked with Robin Thicke. And it’s all with marshmallow bunnies.

9. During the winter weekends, you’ll find Bunald Brump down at his Peep-a-Lago resort.

This is a takeoff on “The Raven.” They even have the chick upon a bust of Pallas Athene.

Though I’m sure the US space shuttle is out of commission. Love the aliens though.

15. Seems like the Queen just landed.

This is from the 2012 London Olympics. Still, no queens were harmed during the Opening Ceremonies.

16. Mallow Ren’s having a Stormbunny meeting on Starkiller Base.

Got to love the Stormtroopers. Almost seems straight from The Force Awakens.

17. Bunny Baggins always feels at home in the Shire.

They have blackjack, roulette, slots, and craps tables, too. There’s even live entertainment.

Still, don’t be surprised if you find your favorite character killed off in this. Or any nudity for that matter.

24. Luke Peepwalker has come at an awkward time.

Luke visits Jabbas’s palace from Return of the Jedi. And there’s a bunny Princess Leia in her trademark bikini.

25. You don’t know where they bunnies are going in these stairs.

This is from another M.C. Escher work. And yes, the staircases are unreal.

26. On Halloween night, Linus cat waits for the Great pumpkin.

Yes, they do sell Halloween peeps as you see. But this is a clever rendition of a cartoon classic.

27. A&Peep is best known for airing Bun Dynasty.

Yes, the delightful down home duck caller millionaires are in peep form. But it’s all fun and games until the patriarch rants about gays and racial minorities.

28. Pirate peeps always take to the high seas in the Caribbean.

Based on the movie franchise you liked during your teens. Now with more bunnies and chicks.

29. Unfortunately, Washington D.C. has fallen to the dinosaurs.

Well, at least they don’t hold office in Congress. Still, not sure what I think about the destruction.

30. “It’s alive! It’s alive!”

This is from Frankenstein. Yes, it may be a breakthrough in science. But all won’t be well for long.

31. A dragon dance brings in the Chinese New Year.

It’s even in front of a Chinese restaurant. Though I’m not sure about the chicken.

32. Gather round for the Peepsburgh Banjo Club.

Like how their banjos are made of peppermint candies. And they’re below a disco ball.

I wouldn’t want to go near your grandmother, Little Red. She might not be herself right now.

34. I’m sure you all remember this peep circus from the 1990s.

Got to love how they used a cardboard box for the O.J. Simpson trial. I guess this is the glove doesn’t fit scene.

This is a rendition of Back to the Future. Cue “The Power of Love” from Huey Lewis and the News.

Can’t believe they did a peep diorama of the end of West Side Story. Kind of thought the dance scene would’ve been more appropriate.

This is a takeoff from Silence of the Lambs. It’s where Clarice meets Hannibal Lecter.

38. Peeps have been taking selfies for time immemorial.

Spans from the cave to the smart phone. Even includes Van Gogh at one point.

Yes, these are peeps on the chessboard. The bunnies are the good pieces. The chicks are all pawns.

I know it’s a diorama on the death of Bin Laden. It’s even complete with explosions and bunnies in camo.

41. I believe the Earth’s not doing Klaatu any favors.

I guess this is the beginning of The Day the Earth Stood Still. There’s even a bunny robot.

42. Peeps always have fun at the fun fair.

This place seems to have lots of rides and places to eat. Love this cute display. So adorable.

This is a rendition of Dale Cooper’s strange dream. Other than the log lady, it’s a part most people remember.

Spring Into These Easter Craft Projects (Third Edition)

Now that I’ve gotten the treats over with, it’s on to the craft projects. As you can see, most of these are associated with spring like bunnies, flowers, butterflies, sheep, chicks, and colored eggs. You may even find some outdoor decorations like you see above. Yet, alongside St. Patrick’s Day decorations, Easter decor isn’t out of view since it might fall sometime after March 17. While many people might put some Easter decorations up on their houses, some may prefer to make their own. And for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of Easter craft projects for you to enjoy.

You can’t go wrong with a bunny centerpiece on moss.

Includes a plaster bunny with fancy Easter eggs. Goes well with a daffodil bouquet.

2. Don’t forget to hang your bunnies with your carrots.

The carrots are orange while the bunnies are green and fuzzy. Includes balls of green and orange yarn.

3. Care for a wooden bunny spoon?

Well, she’s made from a wooden spoon. Her arms are made from pipe cleaners while she sports purple bows.

4. Welcome your Easter guests with this egg and flower wreath.

Well, this mostly consists of pastel Easter eggs with small flowers. Perfect for any spring door.

5. Welcome spring with a bird’s nest behind glass.

Don’t worry, the bird’s nest isn’t real. Yet, you have to admire the flowery branches it sits on.

You may have to use green and orange ribbons. But it seems rather simple to make.

“Feliz Pasca” is “Happy Easter” in Spanish. But this is quite adorable, no matter what language you speak.

The eggs are mostly plastic. But if you have a lot of these, here’s an idea to consider.

Well, I think it’s a plush bunny and carrot of some sort. Yet, nobody could resist that bunny face.

How else could you welcome spring? And yes, these flowers are gorgeous.

Well, that’s kind of bizarre. But you have to appreciate the sentiment behind it.

34. No Easter is complete without a bunny doily.

This has white bunnies all around in an Easter egg background. And yes, they’re adorable.

35. You’ll be hard not to resist these little bunny heads.

These are plush figures made from some flowery cloth. And all have bows on their ears. So sweet.

36. You’d swear this Easter egg was all buttons.

Actually it consists of buttons sewn on a cloth. But it has a certain Easter charm.

37. A basket always has room for 2.

However, we all know that in the rabbit world, 1+1 = infinity. Because you know how they produce a lot of young in a short timespan.

38. On an Easter wreath, make sure the flowers really stand out.

This one has pink and purple flowers with matching ribbons. But it’s an Easter wreath since it includes eggs.

39. Light up your Easter with this paper bunny lantern.

You can find a paper lantern at any craft store by the way. But make sure you add some bunny attributes and a bow tie.

40. Care for a red cabbage bouquet?

I’m sure the cabbage and flowers are fake. Since a real cabbage may not make such an elegant vase. So pretty.

Make sure the buttons are in pastel colors but shape doesn’t matter. Helps that it’s set atop a flower pot.

46. While we’re in the spring of things, here’s a cabbage tulip bouquet.

The tulips here are in purple, lavender, and orange. And the cabbage is a normal green.

47. To mark this holy occasion, a cross with white flowers is recommended.

Cross consists of sticks tied together. Still, the flowers are really pretty.

Not sure if the flowers are real or fake. But make sure you include some Easter eggs.

Though it’s still February, the fact St. Patrick’s Day and Easter can be so close to each other some years means I have to do posts with bunnies, colored eggs, chicks, flowers, and pastels after shamrocks and leprechauns. This year is no different since Easter falls on April 1, which is also April Fool’s Day. Nonetheless, it’s a day marked with egg hunts, springtime, and family gatherings. It’s also a religious holiday marking Jesus rising from the dead after his crucifixion on Good Friday. Still, even though I do a lot of posts on Easter, it’s not one of my favorite holidays. Mostly because it’s less fun if you’re an adult and don’t live where there’s an Easter parade. And the peep diorama contests take a lot of work. Anyway, for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of Easter treats.

Care for a bunny peep cup?
Not sure if these are even edible. But people will feel charmed by these treats.

2. Treat yourself this Easter to some Oreo sheep.

These are Oreos covered with icing and marshmallows. And yes, the sheep has a smiley face.

3. Nothing says Easter like a chocolate bunny candy cake.

This one has 2 chocolate bunnies in pastel peanut M&M. The Kit Kats fence them in.

The Springtime World of Miniature Easter Gardens

With Easter, spring is in the air as flowers like daffodils, tulips, and crocuses start blooming from their winter slumber. So it’s only natural that we have flowers and gardens galore. This is especially the case when you’re talking about a smaller capacity when you’re talking about miniature gardens since you don’t need to keep them outdoors. Not to mention, there are plenty of Easter mini garden stuff available. Nevertheless, mini Easter gardens can come in all different kinds of varieties. One notably common variation is a Resurrection garden which is sort of a tradition in Great Britain since I’ve seen plenty of them in English churches (since the Brits are really into gardening). Now a Resurrection garden is called thus because it features an empty tomb indicating that Jesus has risen from the dead. Since the empty tomb can just involve a small flower pot with rocks at the front or a stone turned, it’s relatively easy mini garden to do. You can also do a garden in an Easter basket as well. So for your reading pleasure, I give you a snapshot into a treasury of mini Easter garden scenes.

A natural Easter basket is sometimes best.

This one has a nice little spring flower scene with a nest of eggs and a bunny statue. So lovely.

2. As we see here, Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God.

Jesus’s cross contains the crown of thorns and a white sash. And the crosses are made from twigs.

3. Always go with a couple Easter eggs in a vibrant grotto.

Because that’s the only way I can tell this is an Easter garden. Though I like the statue and columns.

4. Even the fairies wish you a happy Easter.

They also even like to hang out with little bunnies in baskets. Like the flowery trees.

5. I suppose a moss covered tomb would be more appropriate.

Though I normally don’t imagine it as such since the Holy Land is more or less depicted as a desert. Then again, you have to admire the flowers.

6. How about some flowers among the gravel church path?

Helps if the church is small and in a Tudor style. Makes a quaint garden scene if you’ve ever seen one.

7. Doesn’t hurt to plant a few flowers near the empty tomb.

These empty tomb gardens can range from plain to quite elaborate. But I had to include this one with the flowers.

8. Sometimes moss and rocks are all you need.

Because an empty tomb garden doesn’t require much as far as aesthetics go. Also, you can make crosses with just about any stick you find.

9. Pink and purple flowers have a real spring touch.

Yes, it’s another empty tomb garden. But at least this one has pink and purple flowers. You’ll see a lot of these though.

10. “And they brought him to a place called Golgotha (which means the place of the skull).”

Okay, this is a rather morbid rendition with including a skull. But it’s at least accurate in etymology.

11. An empty tomb scene can always do with a few flowers.

This one has a wood chip path from the crosses to the tomb. Though you’d find a few flower patches.

12. These little lambs love to play among the flowers.

After all, lambs are innocent creatures that Moses demanded to be slaughtered so Hebrew families wouldn’t succumb to the plague of the Firstborn son. And that’s how we get Passover.

13. For Easter, you might want to let some bunnies near your caravan.

Well, Easter bunnies, anyway. Though make sure they’re not some human figures in bunny costumes.

14. “He is not here. He is risen.”

As you can see, they even have Resurrection figurines. Though I wouldn’t say they’re necessary.

15. Sometimes a garden more close to nature comes to mind.

This one appears to be set in a plot at some church. But you can see the moss and flowers nonetheless.

16. For Easter scenes, adding some Easter eggs always helps.

Because nothing says Easter like colored eggs. Also helps if you include bunnies and chicks.

17. A bare Easter tree can always use a few ornaments.

Yet, this one has bunnies instead of Easter eggs as would be the case. Like the flowers and butterfly though.

18. For an empty tomb garden, all you need is a hillside plot.

Though most usually use a flower pot and rocks for the empty tomb. But at least it includes planted flowers.

19. When in doubt, you can always try a nature scene.

This one is taken from a show on the Hallmark Channel. I know that network is famous for its saccharine programming but at least this garden is pretty.

20. Apparently, you’ll find the risen Jesus in this garden.

I don’t know about you. But I kind of like it better when resurrection gardens don’t include action figures.

21. Now this is what I call a real Easter free for all.

This one even has a lit candle, which I’d advise against. However, this is as Easter as it gets without the Christian motifs.

22. Sometimes resurrection scenes are better with peg dolls.

Though I’d advise against it. I think a tomb scene with flowers is sufficient enough.

23. An empty tomb can conveniently fit in an Easter basket.

Not sure if the plants are real. But it seems easy enough to do.

24. An Easter garden can always start small.

These are of mini Easter baskets, by the way. Yet, each has a flower and cute critter to love.

25. An Easter garden can’t go without a few spring touches.

Here you come to an assortment of spring decor that’s expensive as hell. All surrounding a glass stone lake.

26. These little chickies find a haven among flowers.

I think this might be from a basket. Though the chicks and the chocolate eggs give it an Easter touch.

27. With church gardens, you can never have enough plants.

A lot of British churches have these gardens around Easter which can get very elaborate. This one really takes the cake.

Here we have a lamb and bunny watching some chicks hatch in a nest. So adorable.

29. For English gardens, flowers are all planted in neat and ordered rows.

Not sure if the flowers are real in this. But it nonetheless looks quite stunning to behold.

Of course, most of the Easter eggs should be hidden for the kids in the trees. But the ground’s just fine with me.

As you may see, you can customize a lot of these empty tomb gardens. Yet, the flowers on this one are simply breathtaking.

Outside the empty tomb gardens, I found a lot of Easter mini gardens hard to find. So sometimes you have to go with what you can get.

Though I don’t think giraffes, tigers, and hippos are native to the Middle East. But to each his own.

36. For outdoor mini gardens, it helps to make a big impression.

This one is from outside a church. And yes, it features an empty tomb of rocks. Love it.

And yet, another resurrection reenactment with peg dolls. Though I think it would be better if we didn’t include Jesus here.

38. For bunnies, Easter is a time of family togetherness.

Still, even in their anthropomorphic outfits, I’d expect there be more bunny family members. Then again, some of them might’ve been eaten already.

39. Nothing says Easter like planting flowers in eggshells.

Not sure how this arrangement can be done. But it seems possible. So pretty.

40. Even Easter bunnies head to church on Easter Sunday.

Well, when you don’t have an empty tomb, a church would do. Though I kind of wish there was a resurrection scene with bunny figures. That would be awesome.

Under a toadstool maybe. But inside one, not a chance. Though it’s quite clever.

Yet, they somewhat feel drawn to a basket of eggs in an ornate wheelbarrow. Simple yet sublime.

44. These little bunnies just want to enjoy the peaceful meadow.

You can tell this is an Easter garden because it features a cross along with the bunnies. Yet, it’s so adorable.

45. On Easter, I’m sure that Christ will light the way.

You may find candles in these gardens as well. Though I’d advise you to proceed with caution.

46. Perhaps you can spare a dime for a few rabbits.

Because bunnies need to make a living, too. Like the purple flowers though.

Might’ve shown this garden before in other mini garden posts. But not with the Easter decorations.

Even includes a bench with bunnies on it. Though you’d have an easy time finding these eggs in this garden.

This one just uses 2 little bunnies and moss. Adorable, yet so simple.

Kind of makes a great contrast between the solemn Good Friday and the invigorating Easter. Love it.

51. For a resurrection garden, you might want to plant it inside the altar.

Well, that’s a clever way of doing it. The altar makes a nice backdrop. But wonder when they’ll have to clean up once Pentacost is over.

52. Not sure where I can find the tomb on this one.

Though I do admire the flowers and the moss hill of crosses. Then again, maybe we’re not suppose to see the empty tomb on this.

53. Little chicks always belong among the daffodils.

To these chickies, the daffodils almost resemble trees. So cute.

54. For a small patch, an Easter bunny can feel right at home.

You can even put in a few eggs and a bunny statue. Now that’s an Easter garden basket.

55. For Easter, you can’t ask for a more colorful scene like this.

This one includes an Easter house and an Easter egg bridge. But I’m sure the decor doesn’t come cheap.

56. Chicks always like being among the flowers.

Well, they include flowers I’d find at my grandma’s house. But the chickies are simply adorable.

57. With an Easter garden, it helps if you can go all out.

This one is from a Scottish hotel. But I love how it features an Easter egg tree.

58. A resurrection garden should always be outside for all to see.

This one may not have much color. But then again, maybe Easter came early that year.

Perhaps in a forest with cotton candy trees. Though I’m not sure if this uses any real plants.

This one is part of a set but at least it’s brightly colored and includes bunnies. So cute.

This one doesn’t use a lot. But the stone is certainly turned as it should be.

This one has a lot of moss and other plants. But the crosses are of solid wood.

Well, at least this one has flowers and succulents. Though this empty tomb garden thing is getting old.

67. An Easter mini garden can never have too many daisies.

This one has a rather sunny disposition. Like the rabbit climbing out of a pot.

68. A large rock can serve as an appropriate tomb.

Helps if it’s hollowed through first. Though at least the rocks match.

69. A fairy garden with Easter eggs and chicks can spring into anything.

Well, this is more of a spring garden than an Easter one. But the chickies and colored eggs are here, anyway.

70. A pixie fairy garden has a pair of pastel houses.

Well, at least it includes bunny on the side. Though the one on the right should’ve had a different color.

71. Leafy plants can really make the garden come alive.

This one uses a square tomb. And the crosses seem rather level for some reason. Doesn’t use too many flowers.

72. As far as I know, this Easter garden is of the zen variety.

Not sure if zen Easter gardens even exist. If they do, this is what they’d look like.

73. I’m sure a carrot house is appropriate rabbit housing.

However, some rabbits might find it hard to resist. Nevertheless, think it’s quite clever.

74. A spring fairy garden must have its own array of flowers.

This one even has its own evergreen tree. Not sure why that’s there. Love the flowers.

75. Sometimes you can make a tomb with just a couple of rocks.

Well, that’s one way of putting it. Still, I doubt the stone is hollow for the emptiness effect.

76. A carrot house is a cozy bunny home, especially on Easter.

This is a cute little Easter garden. Like the little flowers. Think that carrot house is clever.

77. A fairy garden in the spring should be of vibrant color.

Well, this will make a fine Easter garden. Like the little house and stone work.

78. Animals flock to any fairy house.

Well, statue animals anyway. Like the gravel pond of ducks.

79. A spring garden is always meant for the birds.

This is especially if it has a moss roof. Nevertheless, the bluebirds stand out.

80. With these 3 fairy basket gardens, you can make Easter magic.

Okay, maybe they’re not exactly Easter gardens per se. But if you’re no fan of chicks or bunnies, they’ll surely do.

The Pastel World of Easter Village Houses

You may have noticed that my Easter posts so far have mostly been later editions of ones I’ve written in years past. Nevertheless, I also like to do Easter posts of items that I haven’t tried before. Village houses would be among them because I already did 2 of Christmas and one of Halloween. Yet, though Easter isn’t nearly as popular as either, it’s up there even if John Oliver calls it, “shitty Christmas” which may be borderline offensive but nonetheless accurate as far as commercialism is concerned. Though as far as my blog is concerned, I have little complaint since it gives me plenty of material. Anyway, the notion of Easter village houses is part of a phenomenon, I like to call Christmasfication, a word that might be my own invention. Now Christmasfication is what happens when one holiday’s tradition becomes part of another’s. Easter has been very much a product of this since it’s a religious holiday subject to a lot of commercialization since there are gifts involved bestowed by a mythical gift giver. However, it’s not to the extend Christmas is and has a greater focus on candy. Nevertheless, Christmasifcation doesn’t always have to involve integrating Christmas traditions, but it often does. Yet, with village houses, it kind of makes sense even on Easter. After all, pastel colors and cute critters are perfect for any spring towns. So for your reading pleasure I give you a treasure trove of pastel and springy Easter village houses.

A spring house brings joyous Easter greetings.

This one has some imagery from vintage cards and silk flowers. Gives one a spring time feel.

2. A pastel house can use a white picket fence.

Doesn’t hurt it has a glittery base as well as a tree with Easter eggs. Like the flowers on the roof.

3. Cottontails Candy is always the place for sweets.

Not a big fan of light green and yellow together. But at least the name is clever.

4. A pink church with spring decorations always has the Easter spirit.

Though you wouldn’t see such a display until after Good Friday. Mostly because Lent is a penitential season.

5. Perhaps some greenery can suit your fancy.

Helps if you decorate the trees with Easter eggs. Though I’m not sure about the light pastel colors on this one.

6. Two chicks are often better than one.

Let me guess, the chickies are made from pom poms. Still, this is quaint.

7. A small gazebo doesn’t hurt.

Be sure to include different colored bunnies. Like how they included Easter eggs on this.

8. A yellow glitter house should always have a heart.

I often use putz houses because they look less manufactured. This is no exception. Like the bunny.

9. An Easter village always looks magnificent under a bauble egg wreath.

After all, pastel houses look great on a mantle meant to extenuate spring. Love the flowers.

10. Here we come to a simple white church with a pink roof and lamb.

Like I said, churches usually don’t bask in the Easter decorations until after Good Friday. But they do in these village sets in order to set an Easter feel.

11. The more color tiles the house has, the better.

You can also put an Easter egg in the doorway. Though I wouldn’t advise a green and yellow one.

12. A house of lavender is particularly springy for chicks.

This one seems all dolled up for Easter. Like the wreath at the top window.

13. How about a peep bunny above the front door?

Adding a flower to its ear and a yellow bow helps a lot. So cute.

14. A small pink church is always nice.

Helps if it glitters in the spring morning light. Though not sure about the roof.

15. A plaid yellow roof can sometimes be quite snazzy.

Okay, that’s pretty tacky. But at least it brings spring into the air.

16. It’s not spring without a little pink.

Yes, it might seem a bit feminine and sickeningly sweet. but at least it’s well made with some bunnies to spare.

17. Never saw an Easter egg fence before.

Though I don’t care for the house much. However, the fence is a rather unique idea.

18. An Easter church always has to stand out.

Each one has their own unique decorations. Some are more showy than others. Like the purple ones.

19. There’s nothing against having a fancy roof.

This canary yellow Easter abode has blue diamond lines. Not a fan of the color.

20. A church should always be fancy with flowers for Easter.

Now this one really gets into spring with its roof lined with pearls. Lovely.

21. An egg house is a perfect Easter dwelling.

Though I kind of wish it was a little fancier like an Easter egg. Though it certainly fits with the holiday.

22. Sometimes it’s best to go with holy simplicity.

This one just has trees with Easter eggs on them and little else. Well, it does have some pink window trim.

23. A candy house is always springtime fun.

After all, Easter is a huge holiday for candy. So such a house is quite fitting.

24. Now that’s what I call a carrot orange Victorian.

Reason why we have orange as an Easter color at all has to do with carrots. Though I think it’s a loud color to put on an Easter house.

25. A small Easter home should always shine with distinction.

Like the bushes and flower decor on this. So simple and small. But yet, so elegant.

26. Some a blue roof can bring a solace of spring charm.

This one has pink doors and windows and Easter egg trees. All surrounded by a white fence.

27. Pastel roof tiles often give a house an Easter touch.

Even has some Easter eggs and flowers. Like the bows on the windows.

28. An Easter village can often look lovely at night.

Because most of the Easter village houses light up. But the scene is nonetheless pretty.

29. Seems like this house has high carrot patch.

Now this is a house a bunny can love. Then again, bunnies aren’t as into carrots than we think.

30. An Easter candy house always has a sweet disposition.

This one has a candy tree with other decorations. It’s an adorable Easter home anyone can love.

31. Sometimes it helps to dress a plain Easter house with fancy decorations.

I showed this house earlier. Yet, this one has some jewels, lace trim, and more decor to the trees.

32. An egg house can even have 2 stories.

Like how it’s purple and has a chimney. So pretty even when lit.

33. A blue house with yellow trees can be a springtime haven.

Though I’d much prefer purple and pink. And perhaps more flowers than Easter eggs.

34. Is this supposed to be a house or a church?

Looks more like a house with 2 windows. Though I’m not thrilled with the pink roof.

35. Nothing entices an Easter bunny like a multicolor carrot fence.

Another clever fence concept. Like the little chick and bunny, too.

36. A purple Easter cottage should come with all the trimmings.

Now this is quite fancy. Like the little eggs and bunnies on here. So cute.

37. This little cottage has a flowery disposition.

Because it has only 3 of them at the facade. But the bunny seems quite happy.

38. Lattice always makes a home more quaint.

So does an outdoor staircase. Like the cute little chickies out front with the Easter egg decorated trees.

39. This little blue bird house has some colorful sights of spring.

The tree out front is decorated with Easter eggs. And you can see a nest of colored eggs.

40. This little orange cottage comes with an Easter egg fence.

They’re even decorated with rich detail. Not sure about the orange house though.

41. A purple cottage must have an Easter egg door and a pastel candy roof.

Helps if the doorway has carrots side by side. Like the green leafy tree, too.

42. You can always put a little spring in an Easter house.

You can even see some Easter eggs and flowers. Even on the lavender roof.

43. Why settle down in a burrow when you can have a purple house of your own?

Though I think these bunnies might have trouble fitting in the doorway. However, sometimes these houses aren’t made to scale.

44. This small spring home is a lamb paradise.

It’s a rather simple abode with colorful trees. But is all encrusted with glitter.

45. An Easter church should always be in a festive mood to celebrate.

Now this is quite fancy for Easter. But it’s surely lovely with a pink wreath, Easter eggs, and bunnies.

46. An Easter beach house always needs to be pastel blue.

You can tell it’s a beach house due to the shell motifs on the windows. Also, it has a fish shape somewhere.

47. This blue cottage includes a shiny wreath.

Well, if it weren’t for the decor, this would be a normal blue house. Like the Easter egg tree, by the way.

48. A pink ribbon on a cottage is a fine Easter touch.

Helps that it goes with the house. And the Easter bunny and egg decorations.

49. A purple spring house should always be the place for flowers.

There’s even a green bunny in the doorway. Though I like how the flowers go with the house.

50. Gumdrops make great Easter decoration.

You can also include peppermints and Easter style candy canes. Yes, they have them.

51. Now this is a candy decorated house any little chick would love.

Includes some Easter eggs with trees. And the chick is covered in pink cotton candy.

52. This yellow house brings in a beautiful blue butterfly.

By the way, I didn’t find as many Easter village houses as I would’ve wished. So a lot of them come from Etsy.

53. Seems like this bluebird has its eggs in a hanging basket.

Though I don’t think it’s the best place for them. Because that basket can fall.

54. A pink fence is always great for a humble blue home.

Doesn’t matter if you have chicks, birds, and bunnies living there either. Like the flower wreath.

55. I guess you can sometimes go with a rustic blue for Easter.

Helps you have a little chick on a nest near the roof. So cute.

56. Spring flowers are always grand for April showers.

Helps that Easter is in April, too. Then again, March can also be a rainy month.

This one has an interesting looking tree and a bunny clad in pastel garb. Nevertheless, I think it’s lovely.

Doesn’t hurt if it’s purple either. Like the lovely tree with Easter eggs on it.

This was part of a putz house kit. But I show it anyway since it’s so unique to behold.

Even has the word “Easter” in front with block lettering. And a purple ribbon, too.

Well, it’s a purple pen, but still. Doesn’t endear me to the Easter bunny residing here.

Well, this one has some flowers and a brown rabbit. But it’s a rather ingenious design.

This one looks similar to a candy house I showed you earlier. But this one has 2 candy roof tops instead of one.

65. How about a plaid roof on a lavender church?

Well, purple is the color of Lent. Just not in that kind of shade though.

However, I find this pipe cleaner Easter Bunny kind of creeper. But I really love the glittery roof.

Helps if it has 2 chimneys to give a small town charm. Like the decor on the picket fence.

68. Sometimes it helps if you go all out on an Easter house.

This one boasts bolder colors than what you’d usually see. But it’s set for spring so it goes on this post.

For some reason you see a lot of glitter on these putz houses. Like the flower on the roof.

70. Wonder what’s with hanging eggs on a tree.

Okay, I understand it’s an Easter tradition. But you have to like the bunnies and the roof in this one.

You can at least see how it enhances this spring Easter scene. So cute.

After all, spring has always been a prime time for flowers. And lovely blossoms, this store does boast.

This one almost looks real with the grass on the roof. The well is nice, too.

Once again, pipe cleaner bunny strikes on this one. And I think he looks really weird with his arms and legs.

75. I guess this pink Easter house goes for the mint impression.

Like how it has a chocolate bunny and colorful stripes. Lovely.

76. Of course, this pink Easter house is a real candy sensation.

What the hell does gingerbread have to do with Easter? That’s Christmas food.

77. Colorful butterflies prefer the smaller cottages.

Nice how it has a lot of flowers surrounding it. Also, like the little chickie.

78. An Easter egg tree should always show its true colors.

See how well it goes nice with the small cottage? Charming.

79. A purple butterfly always brings a needed springtime touch.

Yet, butterflies aren’t often represented in Easter. Not sure why. But I think it’s lovely.

80. When in doubt, try some lighter shade.

Then again, pastel colors are normally associated with Easter, anyway. But you have to see the bushes in front.

81. Sometimes a green house always works best.

I’m not too crazy about that pill green shade. But it somehow works.

82. This little purple cottage is a hopping Easter haven.

Well, this is kind of charming if you look at it from this angle. Not sure about the yellow awning though.

83. Multicolor roofs seem all the rage these days.

I guess this one was shaded in. Like the tree and the chicks.

84. Seems like these 2 bunnies just got hitched.

I guess this is a church since it has stained glass windows. But I’m sure the bunnies will be fruitful and multiply. Because rabbits reproduce like crazy.

85. A pink glitter house is just the Easter ticket.

Nice to have a sweet quiet home to go to. Like the jeweled butterfly the best.

86. An Easter tree house is a fine home for bunnies.

This one was brought to you by the magic of paper mache. Yet, you have to love this.

87. A green Easter house needs a flowery ribbon.

Helps if it’s purple with daisies, too. And it’s matched by a similarly decorated tree.

88. My, this tall pink church has a high steeple.

And I see a little birdie has made itself at home. So lovely.

89. An Easter house can stand out if it’s blue and yellow.

Helps if it has a bunny on the roof. Like the little bunnies and chickies.

90. With this purple house, spring has finally sprung.

Sure it’s similar to a few others. But it’s nonetheless stunning to behold.

91. A striped roof is always fitting with a cyan glitter house.

This is lovely. Like the Easter egg tree with the columns.

92. A yellow house with flowers is always rather sunny.

And I see this bunny’s really looking forward to Easter. Like how the flowers are purple, too.

Sure it’s not as flashy as some of the other houses on here. But it has a nice homey appearance to it.

The door on this is incredibly beautiful to behold. Also like the chickies.

Well, you might have flowers on the roof and chimney. But this is nonetheless quaint.

Well, those that are little balls of fludd anyway. But the candy cane striped columns on this are amazing.

Even has a tree and flowers outside. Not sure about the windows though.

99. You can’t miss a bright orange house on Easter, no matter how small.

This little cottage is done in some unique style you’d see on Etsy. Nevertheless, it’s amazing.

100. Are those bricks or clouds on that house facade?

Another specially designed house. But one that brings in the spring. Love it.
