The Wonderful World of Peep Shows (No, Not That Kind) (Sixth Edition)

Now we get into my favorite kind of Easter post: peep dioramas. Featuring the iconic sugar coated marshmallow candies unfit for human consumption, people have taken upon themselves to put them in certain scenes that have nothing to do with Easter. And in recent years, they’ve become incredibly popular, especially in the Midwest United States. I mean newspapers across the US have contest for these. Anyway, though peep dioramas started out as a craft project for children, many adults take peep dioramas into a unique art form. In fact, many of the peep dioramas I’ve seen aren’t at all suitable for children. Nonetheless, in this post, I give you another assortment of adorable and amusing peep dioramas you can’t help but love.

Yes, the cows and horses are made out of peeps. And yes, some of the bunnies are wearing cowboy hats.

2. As far as cooking shows go, the competition in Top Peep is especially brutal.

Someone must’ve had an incident in the kitchen. Still, I’m not very familiar with this show.

3. On this week’s episode of Hoarders…

That show was popular for awhile. Wonder if it’s still on. Then again, I surely hope not.

4. Behold, the indomitable Cleopeeptra.

Her hair is made from bunnies. While her jewels are made of chicks.

5. “It was 20 years ago today…”

Well, this is a peep version of the album. Each bunny has a famous face. As the Beatles are in felt clothes.

6. Mount Peepmore is a major destination in South Dakeepta.

Seems like the bunny presidents are under construction. Still, I’m not sure which is which here.

7. Poor Bunnard Stark.

This is from Game of Thrones. And yes, the Stark patriarch and main character from the first season is dead.

8. Bet you didn’t see The Scream in marshmallows.

You can see it mostly consists of bunny and chick peeps. Still, it’s an almost spot-on rendition.

9. You’ll find plenty of bunnies in the Leaning Tower of Peepsa.

This one is a paper tower with bunnies inside. Though some bunnies seem like they’re sinking.

10. Tune in to the next Peeprah.

It’s a rendition of Oprah. Though I think she had a larger audience than that.

11. With this Peepriodic Table, you will know the chemistry.

The peeps are color coded for each group. Bunnies are metals. Chicks are non metals.

12. Seattle, Washington welcomes the Women’s March.

13. Alas, the Purple Reign must come to an end.

This is a peep tribute to Prince who’s on a motorcycle. He died in 2016.

14. Looks like Warren Peepy messed up with Best Picture.

This happened in 2017 when Warren Beatty mistakenly named La La Land as Best Picture instead of Moonlight. Yeah, it was pretty crazy.

15. “Fra-geel-lay. Must be Italian.”

This is a rendition of A Christmas story. Features some of the movie’s most memorable moments.

16. Samuel Peepys chronicles the Great Fire of London.

Samuel Pepys was a famous diarist during the mid 17th century. As a civil servant, he hobnobbed with many famous figures in his day.

17. Perhaps you’ll be classically inclined for Amadpeepus.

This from the 1980s Mozart biopic Amadeus. Like the bunny at the top. So creative.

18. The peepestra is ready, maestro.

This is a peep rendition of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. You can even see some of the instruments.

19. This Peepception is very messed up.

Well, it’s a movie about going into people’s dreams. Still, I didn’t understand the film when I watched it.

20. In this dentist’s office, Cecil the Lion takes his revenge.

Cecil the Lion was a lion killed by a dentist in Africa, as a trophy. Still, this is pretty hilarious.

21. In Rio de Janiero, the peeps congregate for the Olympics.

22. Apparently, incest and live burials can really bring down the house for peeps.

"The Fall of the House of Usher," by Kelli Hanson

This is a rendition of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Fall of the House of Usher.” It’s best known for featuring a guy who’s a bit too attached to his sister and buries her alive.

23. There’s no way you can take down Moby Peep.

Got to like how the White Whale is made out of mini marshmallows. Based on the book, Moby Dick by Herman Melville.

24. Here we present the Obamas’ presidential portraits.

Barack is on the left. Michelle is on the right. Nonetheless, I’ve missed them since they left the White House in 2017. Seriously, Donald Trump is a good for nothing piece of shit and a complete monster.

This is a peep rendition of WALL-E. Here we have WALL-E present a plant to EVE on a post-apocalyptic Earth.

26. Hope your peeps would enjoy the Hundred Acre Wood.

This is Winnie the Pooh in Peeps. And yes, it’s just so adorable.

27. Grand Theft Peeps has been a video game sensation.

This is peep rendition of Grand Theft Auto. Funny how the bunny police and crooks are bigger than the cars.

28. Peeps should always beware of the Demigorgon.

This is from Stranger Things. Got to love how they managed to use very small Christmas lights for the display.

Well, this supposed to be a farm. And yes, the pumpkins are marshmallow jack-o’-lanterns.

This is a peep reenactment of 101 Dalmations. But they’re just bunnies in white with black spots.

This is a peep rendition of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. And yes, the bunnies are wearing wigs.

And it seems they’re about to sacrifice someone to Satan. I know it’s kind of crazy.

This is a takeoff of the Tour de France cycling race. And all the riders are chicks.

This is a rendition of a famous painting. I’m not sure which one. Though I know it’s one of the impressionists.

Indeed, this is supposed to be an alien invasion. But America’s bravest warriors are not match for the dreaded green chick aliens.

40. Ancient Egypt was a haven for the peeps in the Nile.

Features the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Like the Sphinx bunny head. So cute.

41. Hope you can stomach a Roman chariot race.

This is a take off from Ben Hur. Here Judah Ben Hur is about to race with his former childhood friend Messala.

This is a peep rendition of the Boston Pops. And yes, you can see the instruments.

All of them seem to wear button berets. Some enjoy wine and a baguette.

Hop Down the Bunny Trail for These Easter Treats (Fifth Edition)

After Saint Patrick’s Day passes, you’ll see plenty of bunnies, color eggs, chickies, flowers, and pastels just in time for Easter. Now I usually do my Easter post as soon as I complete the ones for Saint Patrick’s Day since the date can fluctuate within March and April. Though this year, it’s in late April. In any respect, given that Easter is a major holiday, many people usually celebrate with big dinners filled with food. Sure it’s not a big holiday like Halloween or Christmas, but it’s a major religious holiday with tons of candy and spring stuff. So it counts. Nonetheless, look on any Easter table and you’ll find plenty of delights like ham and scalloped potatoes. Maybe even a bunny cake. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of Easter treats. Enjoy.

Nobody can resist these marshmallow bunnies.

Each of these even wears their own clothes made out of icing. While they hold a small carrot.

2. Perhaps you’d like a cake with a chick on top.

Has beautiful flowers on the side. And the chick is sitting adorably on the grass.

3. Care for a couple of birds in a nest?

The chicks are made out of Rice Krispies and peanut M&Ms. The nest consists of cornflakes and almonds.

Once again, Valentine’s Day is over and stores are already making way for the green and shamrocks. Many may view Saint Patrick’s Day as a celebration of their Irish heritage or a religious holiday to venerate Saint Patrick. Others see it as an excuse to go on pub crawls and get drunk due to the negative Irish drinking stereotypes. Nonetheless, you can expect a lot of green, shamrocks, leprechauns, rainbows, and pots of gold. So not surprisingly, many people throw St. Paddy’s Day parties with lots of goodies. And that’s where I come in. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of Saint Patrick’s Day treats. Enjoy.

Nothing makes St. Patrick’s Day like some green cake bars.

Well, these are more like cakes. Minty green goes on top, by the way.

Since my 29th birthday is on January 13, it’s only natural that I do another edition of messed up birthday cakes from Cake Wrecks. When we make a cake in our homes for our loved ones, we usually expect that mistakes will be made since we’re not anticipated a masterpiece. But when we purchase a cake from a store or bakery, we expect that it will look as perfect as the picture in the book. Yet, since we have a website like Cake Wrecks, we should know full well that this isn’t the case. Sometimes the decorators may not know how to take directions. Sometimes they’re not great artists that the cake looks creepy or disgusting. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of screwed up birthday cakes. Enjoy. By the way, some of these may not be safe for work.

I think they meant a 2 in blue.

This one has piping in red while it says “too No in Blue.” But at least it has 2 candles.

Guess this was made for a dad who just got out of prison. Though it also works as a 50 Shades of Grey theme.

Now that we’re in January, it’s NFL playoff season. Of course, I probably not watch any games for 2 reasons. First, I’m not a big sports fan in any respect and mostly do my sports posts for up my viewership stats. Save for the fans and bad mascot stuff. Second, for the first time in a few years, the Pittsburgh Steelers failed to make the playoffs. So I have no reason to watch the Super Bowl anyway, unless it involves a famous musical artist performing the halftime show. Nonetheless, it’s not unusual for people to hold parties during this time, even if your team isn’t playing. Because we all want to see the New England Patriots lose. Not to mention, the Super Bowl normally receives the highest TV ratings each year. While parties normally include food. The map above depicts the most popular Super Bowl party dish from each state. Anyway, for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of Super Bowl delights.

Let the cheeses hut and hike in this dip.

It’s basically gouda’s against each other in the field. Not sure how many layers the dip has.

2. For healthy options, may I suggest a football fruit tray?

This mostly includes melon and strawberries. Though the stitching is made of cheese.

3. Perhaps you might prefer chocolate footballs on a stick.

They seem like sandwiches. Though I can be wrong.

4. You’d be insane not to include buffalo chicken salad football sandwiches.

This was for Super Bowl 48. This one had the Denver Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks. Seahawks won.

This one is made out of wood and painted purple. Yet, you can find whatever dessert that suits your desires.

Sure, they may be squares. But each of them has the football stitching in icing.

NCAA Championship Worthy College Sports Treats (Third Edition)

Now that Christmas is over and the new year has begun, NCAA Division I college football stages their national championships. Of course, you have a lot of college teams playing each other in bowl games that really don’t mean a thing. Seriously, why can’t they just have a playoff with each conference champ? That makes perfect sense. Because I don’t understand why the NCAA Div. I has the championship system for football. Anyway, it’s not unusual for fans to have their little parties and bring some treats. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of treats relating to NCAA Division I sports.

UNC sugar cookies are almost impossible to resist at Chapel Hill.

Some of them consist of feet. Since their mascot is the Tarheel. Get it?

2. Perhaps Georgia Bulldog fans want some of these cupcakes.

These have footballs and the school logos on them. While the icing is in red and black.

3. No Longhorn party should be without this stadium cake.

This is for the Texas Longhorns. And I suppose the stands must be made from graham crackers.

4. A Michigan cake should always have a sugar M.

This one had to use a stencil. But you get the Wolverine impression.

5. If you want a more sophisticated cake, this Texas A&M one may be exactly what you ordered.

This one is 2 tiers with a WVU helmet on top. Includes chocolate covered strawberry footballs.

Of course, when you think about gingerbread houses, two things come to mind: Christmas and Hansel and Gretel Though in the latter, the gingerbread house assumed the role of a windowless van offering free candy that you should stay the hell away from. Yet, Hansel and Gretel don’t listen and a witch almost cooks them into a pot to eat. Anyway, that’s a rather unpleasant subject. Still, despite that grisly fairy tale, gingerbread houses have been a longtime Christmas tradition. Though the image above mainly consists of a traditional design, you can find so many great gingerbread creations with the help of a Google search. During the holiday season, you’ll find many gingerbread house competitions throughout the country and the world. Though you’ll also find plenty of gingerbread renditions of landmarks and fictional settings. So for your reading pleasure, I give you another assortment of gingerbread creations. Enjoy.

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen on These Christmas Treats (Fifth Edition)

Food has always been essential to a Christmas feast since the holidays are a time for friends and family. On any platter you may find turkey or ham as a main course along with so many other delights. While desserts often feature Christmas cookies shaped like Santas, reindeer, trees, and other icons of yuletide yore. In any case, a large Christmas table often leads many to list weight loss on their New Year’s Resolutions which they’ll never fulfill. Anyway, over the years I’ve done an annual Christmas treat post featuring plenty of unique food this holiday season. Though many of these treats are professionally made, some don’t seem hard to make at all. Yet, I’ve found most of them on Pinterest or on Google Images. So for your reading pleasure, I offer another assortment of Christmas delights. Enjoy.

A reindeer cake should always include golden antlers.

It also contains golden ears and red nose to indicate it’s Rudolph. Even has jingles on the collar.

2. Watermelon Christmas trees are a delightful yuletide treat.

This just has Christmas trees cut out from watermelon. May not be green, but they’re simple enough.

3. Nobody could resist this penguin cake.

This guy wears a Santa hat with a bough of holly. While its face is just so adorable you want to eat up.

This mostly consists of graham crackers, whipped cream, and M&Ms. Great for kids to make for themselves.

Though the snow is covered with coconut which I don’t like. But I love the pretzel trees.

Well, I don’t know how to make candy. Though you have to love the snowman and snowflake sprinkles.

Unlike some other pancake Santas I showed in the past, his beard is made from banana slices. While his hat consists of raspberries.

The angel even has a garland with bells in the night sky. Sure it’s professionally made. But I think it’s cool.

Halloween Party Tricks or Treats (But Mostly Treats, Sort of) (Fifth Edition)

Amid the scary times of the Trump administration and potentially catastrophic global warming, Halloween is coming up. To many it’s their favorite time of year when they can dress in a costume, go trick or treating, and decorate their homes as their own haunted houses. Some may even throw Halloween parties which may entail all kinds of witchy delights. Over the years, I’ve worked on 4 posts on these Halloween treats where I’ve featured all kinds of wicked fare. Some of these are cute treats suited for kids’ parties with smiling faces. Others are rather gruesome and able to turn your stomach. So for your reading pleasure, I begin my Halloween season with another treasury of haunted delectable for any spooky night.

Entertain your spooky guests with some spiderweb taco dip.

Contains salsa, cheese, and guacamole. However, you can’t eat the plastic orange spider.

2. Treat your little goblins to these mummy buckeyes.

They’re just little bites with drizzle and chocolate chip eyes. Perfect for any dessert platter.

3. Nobody will get scared by these spider cupcakes.

These have a special kind of cupcake holder for the spider legs. Yet, they can also be monster cupcakes without them.

4. You’d be howling over this werewolf cupcake.

Uses gumdrops for its nose and ears. And its fur uses chocolate icing. More cute than scary though.

5. Want to have some crunchy fingers?

Wonder if they’re chicken fingers or breadsticks. The world may never know.

6. A cemetery cake like this is a rather haunted treat.

Consists of 3 tiers. Contains tombstones, pumpkins, and bats. Like the pumpkin pretzel fencing.

Proof you can make any dish. And spice it up for Halloween by adding eyes. Simple but clever.

Though I don’t think this house will be meant for eating. Still, you have to love the skull and ghost decorations.

They’re just candy apples in white icing. Just add the eyes and mouth for more haunted emphasis.

Though it includes some Halloween peeps as you can see. To know anyone who enjoys them is a scary prospect.

Yes, these are spider brownies. No, they don’t seem to have any legs.

This one has cherry eyes. Love the red gummy worms surrounding it.

13. A Frankenstein monster cupcake will sate your monstrous appetite.

Sure it looks more cute than terrifying. Yet, it’s great for any monster mash dessert platter.

14. Care for a banana ghost?

They’re just banana tops with chocolate chips on them. Easy to make for any child.

15. Seems like these cookies have spider infestations.

Don’t worry, they’re chocolate chips with icing legs. But they’re great for freaking out your friends.

16. Wet your appetite with these hardboiled spiders.

These are hardboiled spider eggs. The heads are made out of olives. The legs from toothpicks.

17. No little imp can resist these marshmallow monsters.

Each one has a Frankenstein monster, jack-o’-lantern, and a vampire. And let’s hope they’re not covered in sugar.

18. Nobody will mind this witch’s cauldron bubbling.

This is a cake with icing bubbles. Love the wood and flames.

19. These cake pops are an especially spooky treat.

Consists of a ghost, jack-o’-lantern, and black cats. And yes, they’re more adorable than scary.

20. Get a bite out of these candies.

They’re vampire lips. Yet, they seem to bite down on chocolate bars instead of human flesh.

21. You’ll be all webby over this spiderweb cake.

It’s just a round cake covered in chocolate icing with a spider web design. Don’t forget to include the spider.

These are English muffin mummies. And they’re all wrapped in cheesy strips.

Yes, it’s a spider cake. And the spider is made out of black sugar. Want to try?

24. Don’t forget to add sauce to your bones.

Well, these are bone breadsticks. While the tomato sauce represents blood, I think.

25. Unfortunately, the witches melted in the oven.

Well, these are melted witch cookies. Includes an Oreo and Hershey’s Kiss hat and broomstick with a Reese’s cup and pretzel.

26. These jack-o’-lantern pies are haunted delights.

Well, these are pumpkin hand pies. And they’re all spiced with cinnamon.

27. All these skeletons are snug in their graves.

Yet, we only know one of their names. Though they all seem delicious to me.

28. Care for a marshmallow jack-o’-lantern?

This one just entails 3 colors of icing and a pretzel stick. You see, very easy to make.

29. Who can resist these monster cookies?

These are made of cookie dough covered in sugar with an eye and spikes on it. So scarily adorable.

30. Feel free to dip your pumpkin chips in this cauldron.

The cauldron is made out of pumpernickel bread. The dip is primarily artichoke but looks quite green.

31. You’ll find this pizza quite ghostly.

Well, it’s a pizza with cheesy ghosts on it. Hope they don’t haunt your mouth.

32. You’d swear this cake was haunted by marshmallows.

Okay, they’re marshmallow ghosts on an orange cake. And yes, it drips with chocolate icing.

33. An owl cupcake like this will surely be a hoot.

This one has almonds as feathers on its plumage. Nonetheless, quite eerily adorable.

34. These chocolate covered Oreos are crawling amok.

These are spider Oreos. And yes, they have fangs that don’t bite.

35. These cookies seem quite witchy to me.

These were made out of Christmas tree cookie cutters. Love the hats.

36. The skeleton is bursting with desserts.

The skeleton is pure plastic. But you can store plenty of goodies in it. Sure it’s disgusting, but this is Halloween.

37. These cookies are crawling with spiders.

Each of these has a cake spider with icing legs. Care to try?

38. Wake up this Halloween to some ghostly pancakes.

Just make sure your pancakes are white and fluffy. And that they have eyes and a mouth.

39. These mummy peppers come under wraps.

These are wrapped with bread strips. Still, they must be quite spicy if you ask me.

40. These ho-ho’s are utterly batty.

All of them seem to have icing wings. So scarily cute.

41. Nobody could resist these jack-o’-lantern Oreos.

Each of these is dipped in orange icing and has a different face. Nonetheless, they’re so creative.

42. Anyone in the mood for a bloody good cheesecake?

It’s basically just a cheesecake soaked in cherry sauce and a large knife stabbing it. You can even use the knife to cut it.

43. Feel free to eat these webby fudge treats.

Sure they may have plastic spiders on them. But you can always remove them if they freak you out.

44. These scary pretzels make a rather spooky snack.

Consists of bats, mummies, pumpkins, and monsters. And yes, they’re quite tasty and scarily adorable.

45. Want to dip your veggies into this snake?

Well, the snake is made out of olives. Yet, the dip can easily resemble sand or dirt.

46. Help yourself to some brains.

You can see this is a brain cake. Fittingly it’s situated inside a skull pan.

47. You’d find a lot of candy on this jack-o’-lantern.

It’s supposed to represent the kind of jack-o’-lantern candy buckets trick or treaters use. So feel free to put on whatever candy you want.

Her face consists of pistachios while her hair is made of grapes. Her hat’s made out of raisins while she sports a pickle nose.

Don’t worry, they’re just jello shots. Though they may contain alcohol depending on the host’s discretion.

50. Your monster mash will be a smash with these Frankenstein monster snacks.

They’re green cracker sandwiches with marshmallow bolts. Hope you like yours on a stick.
